REPORTING · 25th January 2010

The frustrations are raging amongst the employees at Eurocan as they come to terms with the imminent loss of their jobs. Artist Gerry Hummel produced a drawing of CEO Hank Katchem as a reflection on a hardcover book West Fraser produced "It's What's Inside That Counts; The story of West Fraser's first 50 years. " The book suggests sentiments such as "It's all about people".

Hummel stated he wanted to show support for all those people who are seeing everything, slowly go down the drain!

Someone copied this caricature, likely off of this Daily website, and photo shopped part of the drawing into Eurocan's newsletter front page layout. This has apparently been circulating the staff and workforce. Some are amused while others express displeasure. The spelling leaves a bit to be desired.

We have been informed that others have now incorporated the drawings into their screen savers and desktop backgrounds.
