REPORTING · 9th December 2009

Christmas draws nearer and the big man in the red suit is out and about hearing what children want for Christmas. On Saturday, December 5th, children were invited to join Santa for a pancake breakfast at Pizza Factory at the City Centre Mall.

“This is our annual breakfast with Santa. This is the 5th year we’re doing it since we‘ve been in the mall here, its always a decent turn out. […] The kids love it. We basically feed everyone who comes in, there is no charge. The kids love it,” said Ron Lechnar.

The seats were packed this year and children were streaming into the restaurant to tell Santa their Christmas wishes. Unfortunately, Santa was too busy dealing with his cliental to provide comment.

He was able to pass on the information that he will be available for photos at the lower level of Kitimat City Centre Mall on Friday, December 11th from 5-8 pm and Saturday, December 12th from 2-4 pm. Proceeds from the photos will be going to the Humane Society.
